District Rotaract Representative (DRR) Message

I take this opportunity to extend warm greetings and my sincere thanks to all who contributed in 2008-2009 to “Make Dreams Real.” I wish to thank the Rotary/Rotaract Leadership for 2008-2009, DG Georges Nouh Chaia, DRC Lara Quentrall-Thomas, Deputy DRR Adalia Hooper, members of the District Team, Club Presidents and members of the Board of Directors. Allow me to also express my sincere appreciation to Past District Rotaract Representatives (DRR), in particular Past DRRs 2003–2008, Ria Delves, Perle Alcindor, Natasha Jeffrey, Lisa James and Sonya Phillip respectively, for their continued support and guidance. Most importantly allow me to express my sincere thanks to all ROTARACTORS that assisted in the growth and development of our District in 2008-2009. Congratulations on a job well done. Please find attached the Final 2008-2009 edition of the District Newsletter (launched at Conference 2009).

Rotaractors, I urge you to continue to make your contribution in this New Year. In the words of RI President John Kenny, everything we do, everything we achieve, begins in our clubs. My fellow Rotaractors, it begins with you and me; it begins with each and every one of us.

I wish to also take this opportunity to extend congratulations and best wishes to the Rotary/Rotaract Leadership 2009-2010, DG Astra Da Costa, DRC Richard Strachan, Deputy DRR Rachel Nancoo, members of the District Committee, Club Presidents and members of the Board of Directors. In this year I look forward to working with each and every one of you. I continue to offer my support, and so I look forward to your continued support, guided by RI President John Kenny’s Theme 2009-2010, The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands. Further to this, in 2009-2010, I want to remind Rotaract clubs, that we have a responsibility to ensure the continued growth and development of our District, guided by our Rotaract District 7030 Theme 2009-2010, Excellence in Service. We have a responsibility to contribute to the future of Rotary as members of the Rotary International (RI) family. Let us live up to and uphold our responsibility with a spirit of Excellence in this year. Rotaractors, I look forward to working with each and every one of you, as we display this Excellence in Service in our clubs, communities and by extension our District and Rotary International (RI).
