The Rotaract District was formed in 1986, and since then District Conferences have been held in various countries throughout the District. District Rotaract Representatives (DRR) have also been selected from a number of different clubs to head the District Rotaract Committee and lead the District forward for yet another year. This tradition was started by PP Thomas Alexander (better known among the Rotaractors as Tom) in 1995 Conference in Montserrat. The first club to have achieved Club Of The Year was the Rotaract Club Of Georgetown Central. This Club was the only club to have won in three consecutive years and as a result the original trophy now has a permanent home with the Rotaract Club of Georgetown Central.
