Since its inception a number of significant milestones have taken place in the District. Here the most important of those milestones are listed.


Club Charter Dates

Rotaract was first introduced to the region in Grenada in 1978. Since then the movement has spread to almost every country in the region. Here are the dates the clubs in the District were chartered.

Important Dates in Rotaract

  • February 23rd, 1905 - Rotary Movement founded by Paul P. Harris
    Rotary Club of Chicago chartered

  • 1922 - Rotary International established

  • March 13th 1968 - First Rotaract club chartered
    Rotaract Club of the University of North Carolina

  • January 21, 1978 - First club chartered in Region
    Rotaract Club of Grenada

  • 1986 - Rotaract District 404 established

  • March 13th, 1991 - World Rotaract Day established

  • March 13th, 1992 - World Rotaract Week established

  • July 1st, 1992 - District renamed District 7030

  • 2005 - District By-Laws ratified

District Conferences and DRR's

The Rotaract District was formed in 1986, and since then District Conferences have been held in various countries throughout the District. District Rotaract Representatives (DRR) have also been selected from a number of different clubs to head the District Rotaract Committee and lead the District forward for yet another year. Here the countries where conferences have been held, as well as the DRRs who have served and the clubs they belonged to are listed.

This tradition was started by PP Thomas Alexander (better known among the Rotaractors as Tom) in 1995 Conference in Montserrat. The first club to have achieved Club Of The Year was the Rotaract Club Of Georgetown Central. This Club was the only club to have won in three consecutive years and as a result the original trophy now has a permanent home with the Rotaract Club of Georgetown Central.
